Modernism, built quietly.
The brief for Serena 7 was a quiet, low-slung house oriented to the sea, with a long covered gallery threading bedrooms and living rooms back from the beach. The build prioritised structural simplicity and hardwood detailing - a project where the brief was modesty, and the construction craft had to disappear into the architecture.
Building for a defining voice of Dominican modernism is its own discipline: the fewer the gestures, the less room there is to hide an error. Direct beachfront meant salt-air detailing carried through every elevation.
